The Ronald McDonald House, located at 1700 4th Avenue South, requires a key deposit and the cost of one night's lodging at check-in. Lodging is available for families who live further than 50 miles from Children's Hospital. The Ronald McDonald House Shuttle Service runs seven days per week. No smoking, eating or drinking is permitted in the van. Seat belts must be worn.   The Shuttle Service Schedule is as follows: 9 a.m. RMH to Children's Hospital (CH) 2:30 p.m. CH to RMH (Departure announced over hospital paging system) 5 p.m. RMH to CH 9:30 p.m. CH to RMH (Departure announced over hospital paging system)    In addition, some churches also offer lodging on a "first-come, first-served" basis. They are:  

• Homewood Church of Christ: (205-942-5683):  There is no charge, but they do ask that you keep the apartment clean and then thoroughly clean it for the next guest when you leave. They have 1 and 2 bedroom fully furnished apartments, about 1 1/2 miles from Children's Hospital. Non-smoking only.
• Town House: Managed by the Baptist Association. There is a charge if you can pay and you must inform them if you will have children staying with you. A social worker will provide the telephone number.
